He was not selected in the recent NFL Draft.
A native of Buford, GA, Calzada spent the 2019 and 2021 seasons with the Texas A&M Aggies before joining the Incarnate Word Cardinals, a FCS school in San Antonio, for two seasons.
Calzada put together his best collegiate season with the Cardinals in 2024, throwing for 3,744 yards alongside 35 touchdowns and nine interceptions over 14 games.
Ottawa finished last in the East Division last season with a 4-14 record, the fifth time in the past six seasons they’ve finished 10 games under .500.
