With the CFL season officially kicking off in only a few weeks, the Edmonton Elks have unveiled brand new home and away jerseys that feature the team’s rebranded name for the very first time.

The new threads carry on the classic green and gold colours but will now feature “ELKS” across the front, updating the look from last year that read “EDMONTON”. Also making its debut is the team’s antlers logo that are prominently featured on both jerseys sleeves and pants. A new and more subtle detail is the return of the three stripes on the shoulders, a nod to the teams most successful era including the team’s five-in-a-row Grey Cup run from 1978 to 1982. Also making a comeback is the double E on the team’s helmets, a detail that fans have been asking for bringing together the success of the past and the hope of the future.
