Canada’s Corey Conners and Nick Taylor didn’t have their best performances during Sunday’s final round at the 90th Masters from Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia.
Conners shot a 3-over 75 to finish 6-over for the tournament while Taylor went 5-over on Sunday to finish 2-over.
The 34-year-old Conners began his round with a bogey on the opening hole and closed it with another bogey on the 18th, adding an additional bogey and two doubles bogeys in between.
There were some bright spot for the Listowel, Ont., native, however.
Conners made birdies on the second and eighth holes before making one of the shots of the day with an eagle on the 440 yard, par 4, 14th hole.
After making a nice drive to the middle of the fairway, Conners holed out from 164 yards away for the eagle.
Conners also shot a 75 on Thursday before back-to-back rounds of 73 and 71 on Friday and Saturday, respectively.
This was Conners’ ninth Masters appearance.
Taylor, who made his fourth career Masters appearance this week, struggled Sunday with six bogeys over 17 holes, including three straight from nine through 11.
The 37-year-old from Winnipeg salvaged a birdied on the 18th to finish 2-over for the tournament.
Taylor was playing well coming into Sunday, shooting 1-under on Thursday, par on Friday and 2-under on Saturday.
Mike Weir, the 2003 Masters champion, missed the cut at 10-over.
