GATINEAU — The CPKC Women’s Open will be returning to the national capital region in 2027.
Golf Canada announced this afternoon that The Royal Ottawa Golf Club in Gatineau, Que., will host the national women’s golf championship for the first time since 2000.
Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club in Ottawa hosted the LPGA Tour event in 2022.
Edmonton’s Royal Mayfair Golf Club will host this year’s tournament Aug. 19-23.
Brooke Henderson of Smiths Falls, Ont., won last year’s championship at Mississaugua Golf & Country Club in Mississauga, Ont.
Henderson’s 14 LPGA Tour wins are the most titles by any Canadian professional golfer.
Meg Mallon won her first of three national Open titles by one shot over Rosie Jones in 2000 when The Royal Ottawa Golf Club last hosted the tournament.
