The news comes after the Oilers were eliminated in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs last week by the Anaheim Ducks in six games.
Bouchard had 21 goals and 74 assists for 95 points in 82 games during the regular season. He added one goal and six assists in the series against the Ducks.
Nurse scored seven goals with 17 assists in 82 regular-season games and played at least 20 minutes in all six postseason contests.
Bouchard and Nurse join Dylan Cozens, Macklin Celebrini, Mark Scheifele, Mathew Barzal, Morgan Rielly, as well as projected No. 1 overall pick Gavin McKenna as players who will play for Canada at the 2026 men’s worlds, according to Dreger.
The tournament runs from May 15 to May 31 in Zurich and Fribourg, Switzerland.
