Team Canada forward Macklin Celebrini has won the IIHF Male Player of the Year award.

The San Jose Sharks star was the youngest-ever NHL player to crack Canada’s men’s Olympic roster in February. He scored five goals with 10 points in six games as Canada took home silver at Milano Cortina 2026.

He represented his country again at the men’s World Championship in the spring and was named captain.

The 20-year-old scored six goals with 14 points in 10 games and won best forward of the tournament despite Canada finishing in fourth place.

With the Sharks, Celebrini scored 45 goals with 115 points in 82 games and was a finalist for the Ted Lindsay Award.
