Team Canada announced on Tuesday that forward Alexia Aubin has been added to the team’s pre-tournament camp roster in Copenhagen ahead of the 2026 IIHF Women’s World Championship.
She will practise with the team as Canada kicks off the tournament on Friday in Herning, Denmark against Sweden.
Aubin, 20, has four goals and eight points in eight games this season as a junior for Colgate University in the NCAA.
She previously helped Canada win back-to-back gold medals at the U18s in 2022 and 2023.
Forward Sarah Fillier was injured in Canada’s 4-0 pre-tournament loss to the United States on Friday. She took an awkward fall into the boards after taking a shove from USA’s Megan Keller. Fillier went straight to the bench before departing for the locker room with a shoulder injury. She did not return to the game.
Fillier, 26, had nine goals with 23 points in 29 games last season with the PWHL’s New York Sirens. At the Olympics in February, she had three goals with six points in seven games as Canada took home the silver medal.
