HAMILTON, New Zealand — Challen Rogers scored 2:27 into overtime as the Toronto Rock advanced to the National Lacrosse League Eastern Conference finals with a 14-13 victory over the Halifax Thunderbirds.

Rogers, the Toronto captain, also recorded an assist in the Friday win.

Tom Schreiber scored a game-high three goals for the Rock, who will see the winner of the Albany FireWolves-Buffalo Bandits game in the conference finals.

Nick Rose made 41 saves for Toronto, while Halifax's Aaron Bold made 32.

The Thunderbirds actually managed to take a 13-12 lead in the fourth quarter after they entered the frame trailing 12-8.

Schreiber's third goal of the night tied it up again for Toronto, setting the stage for the Rock captain to win it in the extra period.
