The Toronto Blue Jays announced that third baseman Kazuma Okamoto has been removed from tonight’s starting lineup due to a left knee contusion.

He has been replaced by Charles McAdoo as the Blue Jays kick off a four-game series at home tonight against the Boston Red Sox.

Okamoto played in Sunday’s 7-6 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies, recording one run and one hit in four at-bats.

In his first MLB season in 2026, the 30-year-old is batting .225 with 24 home runs and 70 RBI through 116 games.
