The Toronto Blue Jays have acquired infielder Tyler Fitzgerald from the San Francisco Giants in exchange for cash considerations, the team announced Saturday.
He has been optioned to Triple-A Buffalo.

The 28-year-old played 72 games with the Giants last season, hitting .217 with four home runs, 14 RBI and nine stolen bases.
Fitzgerald suited up in 20 games in Spring Training, slashing .189/.184/.378 with one homer and seven RBI.
The Springfield, IL native had a career-best season in 2024, recording 15 home runs and 17 stolen bases in 96 games while carrying an .831 OPS.
Fitzgerald was selected by the Giants in the fourth round of the MLB Amateur Draft in 2019.
