The Toronto Blue Jays have help on the way as outfielder Addison Barger has been reinstated from the 10-day injured list (left ankle sprain). He will be active for Saturday’s game against the Los Angeles Angels.

The 26-year-old Barger makes his return after being out since April 5 with inflammation in both ankles.

Barger homered twice in three games at Single-A Dunedin earlier in the week.

Before the injury that put him on the IL, Barger struggled out of the gate with a .053 average, a .279 OPS and two RBIs in eight games to open the season.

In a corresponding move, Toronto has optioned outfielder Yohendrick Pinango to Triple-A Buffalo.

The recently turned 24-year-old had 27 plate appearances in 10 games with the big club, managing 11 hits, four RBI, and a .423 average.

In 92 plate appearances at the Triple-A level earlier this season, the Venezuelan has a .288 average, a .857 OPS, and three home runs.

The Blue Jays continue their weekend series against the Angels after snapping a four-game losing streak, sitting third in the American League East division at 17-21.
