The #BlueJays righty reported some additional soreness coming off his most recent AAA start
Berrios has been on the injured list after being diagnosed with a stress fracture in his pitching arm when a scan he underwent ahead of the World Baseball Classic, where he was to pitch for Puerto Rico, found some abnormalities.
The native of Bayamon has made four rehab starts this spring. After his most recent start, on Sunday for the Triple-A Buffalo Bisons, Berrios said he experienced some soreness. He threw 70 pitches over 3.2 innings, surrendering seven earned runs on six hits with four walks and a strikeout. Berrios gave up three home runs in the start.
A two-time All-Star, Berrios is in his 11th season and sixth with the Blue Jays. He is in the fifth season of a seven-year, $131 million contract.
