Blue Jays call up Dallas, option Juenger to Triple-A

The Toronto Blue Jays have called up RHP Chad Dallas. He will be active for Thursday’s series finale against the Atlanta Braves.

Dallas has a 4.50 ERA in 10 appearances with the Buffalo Bisons in 2026, including 38 strikeouts. He was drafted by the Blue Jays in 2021. Dallas missed the entirety of the 2025 season due to Tommy John surgery.

In a corresponding move, Blue Jays optioned RHP Hayden Juenger to Triple-A. Juenger made his MLB debut with the Blue Jays in Sunday’s 9-5 loss against the Baltimore Orioles, during which he gave up three runs in one inning. He pitched a clean inning against the Braves in Wednesday’s 7-3 loss.

The Blue Jays designated RHP Tanner Andrews for assignment. Andrews appeared in two games with the Blue Jays in 2026 during their series against the Miami Marlins. He pitched three scoreless innings, while striking out one.

Mason Fluharty will start a scheduled bullpen game for the Blue Jays on Thursday night, while Dylan Cease recovers from a hamstring strain. He has a scheduled rehab start with the Bisons on Thursday.
