Toronto Blue Jays relief pitcher Yimi Garcia struck out all three batters he faced in one inning with the Triple-A Buffalo Bisons on Tuesday.
Garcia threw 13 pitches, nine of them for strikes. His four-seam fastball had an average velocity of 94.4 mph.
It was Garcia’s seventh rehab appearance in 2026 and his third with the Bisons. He has not pitched for the Blue Jays since July 2, 2025 against the New York Yankees due to an elbow injury requiring surgery. He posted a 3.86 ERA over 22 appearance with the Blue Jays in 2025.
Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reported on Tuesday that Garcia could join the Blue Jays on their road trip. The Blue Jays are third in the AL East with a 34-38 record. They are two games back of the Athletics in for the final American League Wild Card spot.
