Blue Jays sign ex-ChiSox RHP Freeman to minor-league deal

The Toronto Blue Jays made a pitching addition with the signing of righty Caleb Freeman to a minor-league deal.

The 28-year-old former Chicago White Sox hurler was assigned to the Double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats on Tuesday, according to his MLB.com transaction page.

A native of Abilene, TX, Freeman was a 15th-round selection of the 2019 MLB Amateur Draft out of Texas Tech.

He made his big league debut in 2025, making five appearances. In 3.1 innings of work, Freeman posted a 5.40 earned run average and 1.800 WHIP. He surrendered two earned runs on five hits and struck out three batters.

Freeman was designated for assignment last June
