The Toronto Blue Jays have reportedly agreed to a two-year minor league deal with right-handed pitcher Nic Enright, according to ESPN’s Alden González.

The 28-year-old had a strong rookie season with the Cleveland Guardians in 2025, posting a 2.03 ERA and 30 strikeouts in 31 innings of work over 27 relief appearances.

However, it was revealed at the end of the season that Enright would undergo Tommy John surgery, sidelining him for the entire 2026 campaign.

Cleveland designated Enright for assignment in November and later became a free agent.

The native of Richmond, Virginia was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma in late 2022, but returned to professional baseball in the 2023 season as a member of the Miami Marlins organization.

Enright was originally drafted by the Guardians in 2019.
