The Toronto Blue Jays have signed right-hander Justin Topa, according to the MiLB transaction log.

He will report to Triple-A Buffalo.

The 35-year-old was released by the Minnesota Twins last month after struggling in 23 appearances. Topa had an 8.05 ERA with 27 hits allowed and 11 walks compared to 12 strikeouts in 19.0 innings this season.

Topa has spent parts of the past three seasons with the Twins and turned in a 3.90 ERA across 54 appearances last year. His best season came with the Seattle Mariners in 2023 when he pitched to a 2.61 ERA in 75 appearances.

A veteran of seven big-league seasons, Topa has also spent time with the Milwaukee Brewers in addition to the Mariners and Twins. He owns a career ERA of 4.27 across 172 regular-season outings.

The Blue Jays (29-32) will continue their series in Atlanta Wednesday evening against the Braves looking to snap a three-game losing streak.
