The Toronto Blue Jays announced that catcher Alejandro Kirk was transferred to the 60-day injured list on Wednesday.

MLB.com’s Keegan Matheson says the move is procedural and does not alter Kirk’s return timeline.

Righty reliever Austin Voth was also selected to the MLB roster and will be active this afternoon against the Miami Marlins, while Tanner Andrews was optioned to Triple-A Buffalo.

Kirk, 27, was placed on the 10-day injured list on April fourth due to a fractured left thumb. With the transfer to the 60-day, the earliest Kirk can be activated in June 3.

According to The Athletic’s Mitch Bannon, Kirk is scheduled to begin hitting this weekend.

Kirk has been throwing and taking dry swings, and will seemingly take the next step in his rehab this weekend.

In 20 at bats in 2026, the 27-year-old has three hits, one home run, and two RBI.

Voth, 33, has made one appearance with the Blue Jays this season, allowing three hits and one earned run in 2.2 innings.
