The Toronto Blue Jays have won the Team Gold Glove Award as the best overall defensive team in the American League for the third time in four years.
They also won the award in 2023 and 2024 in addition to this year. The Texas Rangers captured last year’s honour.
Voting for the award was conducted by MLB managers and coaches -- who made up 75 per cent of the ballot -- and the sabermetrics community, which accounted for the other 25 per cent.
The individual Rawlings Gold Glove Award winners were unveiled this past Sunday, but no individual Blue Jays players were selected despite several nominees.
The Team Gold Glove Award was first introduced in 2020.
