Canadian relief pitcher Jordan Romano is joining the Colorado Rockies on a minor-league deal, according to Thomas Harding of MLB.com.
Harding reports that before entering game action, Romano will report to the team’s performance lab in Scottsdale, Ariz.

The 33-year-old from Markham, Ont., started the 2026 season with the Los Angeles Angels but struggled and was designated for assignment on April 26. He had a 10.13 ERA in 11 appearances before being cut loose.
Romano also struggled last season while with the Philadelphia Phillies, turning in an 8.23 ERA with eight saves in 49 appearances.
He spent 2019 to 2024 with the Toronto Blue Jays where he made the American League All-Star team in back-to-back seasons in 2022 and 2023. He also set career-highs with 36 saves in each of those seasons.
Romano has spent six of his eight big-league seasons with the Blue Jays and owns a career ERA of 3.92 with 117 saves.
