The Toronto Blue Jays are getting one of their most important players back on Wednesday as All-Star Vladimir Guerrero Jr. will return to the lineup in the series finale against the visiting Miami Marlins.

Guerrero Jr. will play first base and bat second after missing the last two games with a sore elbow.
The 27-year-old was struck on the right elbow by a pitch in the fifth inning on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Pirates before walking directly to the dugout as manager John Schneider and head trainer Jose Ministral came out to check on him.
Guerrero Jr. has hit .287 with 22 RBIs over 53 games this season, but has logged just three home runs and is slugging a career-worst .372 in what has been a lackluster campaign for the five-time All-Star.
Guerrero Jr., who is in the first year of a 14-year, $500 million contract, has played at least 156 games in each of the past five seasons.
The Blue Jays enter Wednesday’s game with a 26-29 record, sitting one game out of a Wild Card spot in the American League.
