Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Daulton Varsho left Friday night’s game against the Baltimore Orioles with left wrist discomfort, the team announced.
Varsho grounded out in his only at-bat of the game in the first inning. He was lifted in the fourth inning with Yohendrick Piñango pinch-hitting in his place.
The 29-year-old has appeared in 61 games this season for the Blue Jays and has a .256 average with five homers and 17 RBIs.
The Marshfield, Wisconsin native is in his fourth season in Toronto and has also appeared for the Arizona Diamondbacks over the course of his 709-game MLB career.
