Clayton Kershaw’s baseball career isn’t over just yet.
The future Hall-of-Famer will play for the United States at the World Baseball Classic next month, USA Baseball announced Thursday morning.
He joins a loaded U.S. team already featuring Aaron Judge, Cal Raleigh, Bryce Harper, Paul Skenes and Tarik Skubal, among others.
Kershaw had said last summer 2025 would be his last season in MLB. He went out on top, helping the Los Angeles Dodgers win their second consecutive World Series title as they triumphed over the Toronto Blue Jays in seven games.
Kershaw appeared twice in the Dodgers’ postseason run; once in Game 3 of the National League Division Series against the Philadelphia Phillies and once in the World Series during the Dodgers’ 18-inning victory in Game 3.
The 37-year-old was solid during the regular season, going 11-2 with a 3.36 ERA in 23 outings, 22 of them starts.
A veteran of 18 MLB seasons, Kershaw owns a 2.53 career ERA with three Cy Young Awards, five NL ERA titles, an MVP award and 11 All-Star nominations.
The WBC will be played from March 5 to March 17 split between Houston, Miami, San Juan and Tokyo.
