Charles McAdoo is headed to the big leagues.

McAdoo, the 26th-ranked prospect in the Toronto Blue Jays organization, is being called up from Triple-A Buffalo, according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan.

The 24-year-old infielder has posted a slash line of .250/.356/.436 with eight home runs, 27 runs batted in across 202 plate appearances with the Bisons this season, his first at the Triple-A level. He has also added six steals and 28 drawn walks while playing multiple positions in the infield.

The Walnut Creek, Calif. native was a 13th-round draft pick of the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 2023 MLB June Amateur Draft, and was later acquired by Toronto during the 2024 season in exchange for utilityman Isiah Kiner-Falefa.

The Blue Jays took the rubber match 2-1 against the Miami Marlins on Wednesday, and now get set for a four-game series against the Baltimore Orioles beginning on Thursday.

With the win, Toronto (27-29) moved to 8.5 games back of the Tampa Bay Rays in the American League East, and 0.5 games back of the final wild card spot in the junior circuit.
