The Toronto Blue Jays officially finalized their 26-player roster ahead of their season opener Friday against the Athletics.

Both outfielder Davis Schneider and pitcher Spencer Miles made the team, and the club designated infielder Leo Jimenez for assignment. Mitch Bannon of The Athletic previously reported Schneider, Jimenez, Miles and right-hander Chase Lee all made the trip north with the Jays from spring training as they finalized their roster. The team did not have to submit their Opening Day roster until Wednesday.

Lee, who missed out on a bullpen spot, was optioned to Triple-A Buffalo on Wednesday. Right-hander Angel Bastardo was also designated for assignment. He was selected in the Rule 5 Draft from the Boston Red Sox in December.

The 24-year-old Jimenez has appeared in a total of 81 games for the Jays over the last two seasons, slashing .207/.303/.332 with five home runs and 20 RBI. He hit .231 with three RBI in 14 spring training games this year.

Schneider had a .797 OPS and 11 home runs in 82 games last season, his third with the Jays.

Toronto selected right-handed Miles from the Giants in the Rule 5 Draft. The 25-year-old turned in a 3.72 ERA in seven spring outings, allowing four earned runs and 11 hits over 9.2 innings of work.

Lee, 27, had a 4.10 ERA in 32 games last season with the Detroit Tigers. He did not allow a run in six appearances this spring.

Bastardo had a 4.70 ERA in seven spring outings with the Jays.
