Logical fit for both sides, as the 35-year-old Rogers returns home to the team that drafted him and the Twins add some much-needed bullpen help.
Rogers, 35, spent the first six-plus seasons of his career with the team before a midseason trade to the San Diego Padres in 2022.
The Denver native split last season between the Cincinnati Reds and Chicago Cubs. In 57 combined appearances, Rogers was 3-2 with a 3.38 earned run average and WHIP of 1.382 over 50.2 innings pitched. He struck out 53 batters and walked 22.
An All-Star in 2021 with the Twins, Rogers has appeared in 566 games across 10 seasons with the Twins, Padres, Milwaukee Brewers, San Francisco Giants, Reds and Cubs. For his career, Rogers is 31-36 with a 3.34 ERA, a 1.195 WHIP and 83 saves over 541.1 innings pitched.
Rogers is the twin brother of Toronto Blue Jays reliever Tyler Rogers.
