Trey Yesavage’s return to majors makes a stop down the QEW on Wednesday.

Toronto Blue Jays manager John Schneider said the righty will make a start for the Triple-A Buffalo Bisons as his continues his recovery from a shoulder impingement.

Schneider says the plan is for Yesavage to throw in the range of four innings and 65 pitches in what will be his third rehab outing. If the start goes well, he could rejoin the Blue Jays afterwards.

Yesavage, 22, has made two appearances for the Single-A Dunedin Blue Jays of the Florida Complex League this season. He’s faced 23 batters and posted an earned run average of 8.44, allowing five earned runs on five hits over 5.1 innings of work. Yesavage has struck out nine and walked two.

Schneider also revealed that righty Jose Berrios is set to make his first outing of the spring in Dunedin on Thursday.

Berrios, 32, is working his way back from a stress fracture in his pitching arm. The injury was discovered when the two-time All-Star underwent a physical to join Puerto Rico at the World Baseball Classic. The injury is unrelated to the inflammation that ended his 2025 season last September. As MLB.com’s Keegan Matheson notes, Berrios is slightly behind Yesavage in their respective recovery processes.

The Blue Jays (6-9) open up a three-game set on the road against the Milwaukee Brewers (8-7) later on Tuesday evening.
