Raptors fall to Nuggets in Summer League finale

Jahmi’us Ramsey scored 20 points on a perfect 9-for-9 shooting from the field to lead the Denver Nuggets to a 96-89 victory over the Toronto Raptors on Sunday in the NBA summer league finale for both teams at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.

The Nuggets had five players score in double figures. Mark Sears contributed 17 points and a team-high six assists, going 7-for-7 from the free throw line. Erik Stevenson and Matthew Murrell each added 12 points, while Efe Abogidi chipped in with 11 points and four rebounds.

Nimari Burnett led the Raptors with 15 points and nine rebounds. Toronto established a presence in the paint, led by centers Aziz Bandaogo, who recorded six blocks and eight rebounds, and Jamarion Sharp, who added three blocks to go with 10 rebounds. Malik Thomas scored 13 points, and AJ Hoggard dished out a game-high nine assists.

The game was tied 47-47 at halftime before Denver seized control with a 30-20 third quarter. Toronto mounted a late comeback, cutting the deficit to four points in the final minute. After a layup from 2026 second-round pick Jaden Bradley made it 91-87 with 24 seconds remaining, a technical foul on Toronto allowed Sears to hit a key free throw. Ramsey added a dunk to help secure the victory with 15 seconds left.
