Toronto Raptors forward Collin Murray-Boyles left Wednesday night’s matchup against the San Antonio Spurs with a left thumb contusion and did not return.

He was ruled out for the night in the fourth quarter after playing 15:20.

The rookie started and was matched up against Victor Wembanyama for much of the night and was effective at holding the Spurs’ superstar in check, as he had just eight points at the time of Murray-Boyles’ departure.

Still, Wembanyama and the Spurs emerged with a 110-107 victory despite some shaky free throw shooting down the stretch of the game. Murray-Boyles closed out the night with four points, five rebounds, one assist and one steal on 1-of-4 shooting.

The South Carolina product is averaging 7.8 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 47 games so far this season, 22 of them starts.

The Raptors will be back in action on Saturday in Washington, D.C., against the Wizards.
