Jonas Valanciunas’s time with the Denver Nuggets is over.
ESPN’s Shams Charania reports the team has waived the veteran centre.
Valanciunas, 34, appeared in 65 games last season, his lone campaign with the Nuggets. He averaged 8.7 points on .582 shooting, 5.1 boards and 1.2 assists over 13.8 minutes a night.
A native of Utena, Lithuania, Valanciunas has appeared in 1,002 games over 14 NBA seasons. He previously suited up for the Sacramento Kings, Washington Wizards, New Orleans Pelicans, Memphis Grizzlies and Toronto Raptors who took Valanciunas with the fifth overall selection of the 2011 NBA Draft. He spent the first six-plus seasons of his career with Toronto.
For his career, Valanciunas has averaged 12.8 points on .561 shooting, 9.0 boards and 1.4 assists over 24.4 minutes a night.
Internationally, Valanciunas has represented Lithuania on numerous occasions including at three FIBA World Cups.
