NBA: Rockets 94, Lakers 101

LeBron James had 28 points, eight rebounds and seven assists, and the short-handed Lakers outlasted the Rockets for a victory and a stunning 2-0 lead in their first-round playoff series. Marcus Smart had 25 points and seven assists for Los Angeles, which overcame Kevin Durant's return for Houston. LAL lead series 2-0.


NBA: Trail Blazers 106, Spurs 103

Scoot Henderson scored 31 points and the Trail Blazers took advantage of an injury to Spurs star Victor Wembanyama, rallying for a victory over San Antonio to even their series at one game apiece. Jrue Holiday had 16 points and nine assists, and Deni Avdija scored 14 in Portland's bounce-back win. Series tied 1-1.


NBA: 76ers 111, Celtics 97

V.J. Edgecombe had 30 points and 10 rebounds while playing through pain after taking a hard fall early in the game, Tyrese Maxey scored 29 points and the 76ers beat the Celtics to even the series. Edgecombe is the first rookie with at least 30 points and 10 rebounds in a playoff game since Tim Duncan in 1998. Series tied 1-1.


Spurs' Wembanyama (concussion protocol) exits vs. Blazers

Spurs star Victor Wembanyama was ruled out of the remainder of Tuesday night's first-round playoff game against the Trail Blazers in San Antonio after being placed in the concussion protocol. Wembanyama was hurt when he tumbled face-first to the court in the second quarter.


NBA: Timberwolves 119, Nuggets 114

Anthony Edwards led the way with 30 points and 10 rebounds, Julius Randle scored 24, and the Timberwolves fended off the Nuggets to even the first-round series. Canadian Jamal Murray has 30 points in the loss. Series tied 1-1.
