Spurs' Wembanyama (concussion protocol) exits vs. Blazers

Spurs star Victor Wembanyama was ruled out of the remainder of Tuesday night's first-round playoff game against the Trail Blazers in San Antonio after being placed in the concussion protocol. Wembanyama was hurt when he tumbled face-first to the court in the second quarter.

V.J. Edgecombe had 30 points and 10 rebounds while playing through pain after taking a hard fall early in the game, Tyrese Maxey scored 29 points and the 76ers beat the Celtics to even the first-round series. Series tied 1-1.


NBA: Timberwolves 119, Nuggets 114

Anthony Edwards led the way with 30 points and 10 rebounds, Julius Randle scored 24, and the Timberwolves fended off the Nuggets to even the first-round series. Canadian Jamal Murray has 30 points in the loss. Series tied 1-1.


NBA: Raptors 105, Cavaliers 115

Donovan Mitchell led the way with 30 points, James Harden added 28, and the Cavaliers held off the Raptors in Game 2 to take the first two games of the Eastern Conference first-round series. Toronto committed a season-high 22 turnovers in the loss. CLE leads series 2-0.


NBA: Hawks 107, Knicks 106

CJ McCollum scored 32 points and the Hawks rallied to stun the Knicks, tying their first-round playoff series at one game apiece. Atlanta had trailed the whole second half and were down 12 after three quarters. Series tied 1-1.
