Muskegon Lumberjacks forward Tynan Lawrence, a top prospect for the 2026 NHL Draft, is going to play for the NCAA’s Boston University Terriers for the remainder of the season, according to TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger.

Lawrence, who is Muskegon’s captain, has 10 goals and 17 points in 13 games this season.

The Fredericton, New Brunswick native had 25 goals and 54 points in 56 games last season for Muskegon, including eight goals and 18 points in 14 playoff games as he helped the Lumberjacks capture the Clark Cup and won playoff MVP honours.

Lawrence won U17 gold with Canada White in 2024 and helped Canada earn bronze at the Hlinka Gretzky Cup in August.

The 17-year-old was ranked at No. 9 on TSN Director of Scouting Craig Button’s November draft ranking.
