Dane Jackson has retired.
The former Buffalo Bills cornerback was placed on the Reserve/Retired list on Tuesday by the Jacksonville Jaguars ahead of training camp opening.
Jackson, 29, signed with the Jags last month.
A native of Coraopolis, PA, Jackson was originally taken with a seventh-round selection of the 2020 NFL Draft out of Pitt. The pick was acquired by the Bills from the Minnesota Vikings as part of the deal that saw wide receiver Stefon Diggs traded to Buffalo.
Jackson would go on to appear in 64 games over five seasons with 55 coming with the Bills. He spent the 2024 season as a member of the Carolina Panthers. He played three games for the Bills last season and appeared in two playoff contests.
For his career, Jackson recorded 178 tackles, three interceptions and two forced fumbles.
In a corresponding move, the Jaguars announced the signing of former New York Giants and Green Bay Packers cornerback Corey Ballentine.
