Entering Week 7 second in the NFL in rushing yards, Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson is in the midst of another strong season.

The two-time Pro Bowler will face another tough test as the Falcons host the undefeated San Francisco 49ers.

Robinson begins play with 641 yards on the ground this season, second only to reigning Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III, who has amassed 665 yards thus far for the Kansas City Chiefs.

The 24-year-old does have the most rushing yards in a single game this season as he went off for 194 yards on 29 carries in a Week 3 victory over the Green Bay Packers.

Robinson has not found the end zone in his past two contests, but has two multiple rushing touchdown games this year as he scored twice in the aforementioned win against the Packers and again in the following game vs. the New Orleans Saints.

He also has a receiving touchdown, which he scored in the Falcons’ opener in Pittsburgh where he did his damage in the passing game with an eight-catch, 90-yard performance.

Robinson has recent experience facing the 49ers defence as the teams met in Week 7 last season in Santa Clara.

The Tucson, Ariz. native rushed for 40 yards on 14 carries and caught six passes for 52 yards and a touchdown for a combined 92 yards from scrimmage in a 20-10 loss.

A dynamic weapon out of the backfield that is just as likely to burn you in the running game as the passing game might just be the hardest thing to defend in football.

Enter Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs fresh off a bye, as Detroit hosts the Green Bay Packers in a key divisional matchup in the NFC North.

The Packers, as mentioned earlier, were already burned by Bijan Robinson for 194 yards in Week 3 and head coach Matt LaFleur knows exactly which lesson to take from that gashing.

“Sure,” LaFleur told the media. “Lessons on what not to do.”

Before a well-deserved week off, Gibbs posted 151 yards on 25 carries and two touchdowns against the Arizona Cardinals.

He also contributed five receptions for 56 yards in the Lions’ 45-21 win at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz.

The Week 5 explosion against the Cardinals was not even Gibbs’ best rushing performance of the season.

He opened the 2026 campaign with a 29-carry, 156-yard game that also produced two rushing touchdowns against the New Orleans Saints.

The Dalton, Ga. native has three two-touchdown games this season as he also scored twice on the back of 99 rushing yards in Week 3 against the New York Jets.

His ledger also includes receiving scores against the Jets and Buffalo Bills, the only team to keep him out of the end zone on the ground this season.
