Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert is likely to miss a few weeks due to a sprained MCL he suffered in Sunday's win over the Tennessee Titans, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
The Eagles, meanwhile, are reuniting with veteran tight end Zach Ertz, signing him to their practice squad, sources told Schefter.
Ertz, who played for the Eagles from 2013-'21, spent the past two seasons with the Washington Commanders.
Goedert was targeted twice and had one catch for 4 yards before leaving the game with the injury in the second quarter.
He is coming off his best season in 2025 when he reached career highs of 60 receptions and 11 touchdowns.
Goedert, 31, is in his ninth season with the Eagles after being chosen in the second round of the 2018 draft. A durable presence in Philadelphia, Goedert has played in at least 10 games every year.
Ertz, 35, played parts of nine seasons with the Eagles after getting drafted in the second round in 2013. The Eagles traded him to the Arizona Cardinals midway through the 2021 season. After 2½ years with the Cardinals -- the last two of which ended with injuries -- Ertz signed with the Commanders.
Ertz's 825 receptions rank fifth on the all-time list by a tight end. His 8,592 yards receiving ranks are eighth by a tight end. Ertz, who won a Super Bowl with Philadelphia in the 2017 season, has made three Pro Bowls -- all occurring from 2017-19.
