Quarterback Aaron Rodgers is likely to return to the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2026, according to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Rapoport adds the 42-year-old pivot is expected to visit the team Friday and this weekend. A deal is not done yet but is trending in that direction, reports Rapoport.

Rodgers spent 2025 with the Steelers and led the team to a 10-6 record in games he started and a wildcard appearance. However, Pittsburgh lost in the wildcard round for the fifth time in six seasons.
Rodgers threw for 3,322 yards with 24 touchdowns and seven interceptions in 16 regular-season games. He had a completion percentage of 65.7 and a passer rating of 94.8.
If Rodgers and the Steelers finalize an agreement, it will be the future Hall-of-Famer’s 22nd NFL season. He is a four-time MVP, a 10-time Pro Bowler and was the MVP of Super Bowl XLV, which he won with the Green Bay Packers in 2011.
Rodgers spent 18 seasons with the Packers from 2005 to 2022.
