The Super Bowl champions have made a veteran addition to their secondary.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the Seattle Seahawks have signed cornerback Trevon Diggs.
Diggs, 28 next month, finished last season with the Green Bay Packers after spending the first five-plus seasons of his career with the Dallas Cowboys. Appeared in a combined nine games in 2025, Diggs recorded 27 tackles, including one for a loss.
A native of Gaithersburg, MD and the younger brother of Washington Commanders wide receiver Stefon Diggs, Diggs has seen his career derailed by injury in recent years. He’s appeared in a combined 22 games across the last three seasons, missing time after tearing the ACL in his right leg twice and being sidelined last season with concussion symptoms.
A First-Team All-Pro in 2021 in a season in which he led the league with 11interceptions, Diggs has 242 tackles and 20 interceptions in 67 career games. The Alabama product has recorded two pick-sixes.
The Seahawks, 17-7 losers to the Cowboys in their preseason opener, return to action on Saturday with a visit from the Tennessee Titans. Their title defence begins in earnest on Sept. 9 in a Super Bowl rematch and visit from the New England Patriots.
