As Bad Bunny was ready to take the field, it was the Seattle Seahawks on top over the New England Patriots 9-0 after a defensive first half.

On the first drive of the game, Seattle put up points, as a 23-yard Cooper Kupp catch along the sideline would lead to a 33-yard field goal from Jason Myers to open the scoring.

On the ensuing Patriots drive, some hard running from back Rhamondre Stevenson helped get New England to midfield. The drive stalled, however, as the Patriots would be forced to punt thanks to a sack from Seahawks edge Derrick Hall.

The boot would have the Seahawks backed up against their own goal line, ultimately forcing Seattle to a three-and-out. The next drive, a 21-yard gain by Kayshon Boutte would be all the Patriots would get, as three straight negative plays and a punt would follow.

The Seahawks sent the ball right back, however, as the kick-filled first quarter came to a close.

The trend continued in the second quarter, as the Patriots punted the ball, marking their fifth straight. The ensuing Seattle drive would be the best of the game till this point, thanks to Kenneth Walker III.

The 25-year-old running back rumbled down the left sideline for 29 yards, eventually setting up a second Meyers field goal to extend Seattle’s lead to 6-0.

The teams traded punts for the next two drives, as New England received the ball near their end zone with under five minutes remaining in the half. The drive ended just as the first four Patriots’ drives did, with a punt as the two-minute warning arrived.

Another strong Seattle drive finished the first half, as Myers’ third field goal of the half extended the Seahawks’ lead to 9-0.
