The Houston Texans lost starting safety Reed Blankenship to a concussion in the second quarter of Sunday's 34-31 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars in London.

Blankenship has started every game this season after Houston signed him to a three-year, $24 million contract in free agency. He has been up-and-down in coverage, allowing a 76% completion rate when targeted in 2026.

On Jaguars running back Bhayshul Tuten's 27-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter, Blankenship missed a tackle as Tuten sprinted to the end zone.

Blankenship's backup is M.J. Stewart.

Linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair also was evaluated for a concussion but returned to the field in the second half.
