Brandon Graham has retired for a second time and this time it’s for good.
The 38-year-old defensive end who spent the entirety of his 16-year career with the Philadelphia Eagles made the announcement on Tuesday. Graham previously retired at the end of the 2025 season, but decided to return last fall with the Eagles hit by injury. He ended up appearing in nine games, recording eight tackles and three sacks.
“I’m officially done,” Graham said at Tuesday morning’s “Breakfast with the Birds” event in conjunction with Jefferson Health. “But, let me tell you this, [the Eagles] are in great hands. I mean, Jordan Davis, I’m telling you, he’s a guy who’s going to get the defence going. On offence, I can’t wait for Jalen [Hurts] to prove them haters wrong, as always, and get us back to the promised land.”
A native of Detroit, Graham says he’s retirement doesn’t mean he’s gone from the team entirely.
“I’m still around,” Graham said, “still giving wisdom to the guys, still helping the guys. Of course, it’s an adjustment for me, but it’s a great adjustment because it’s all about my kids and my family. I’m just trying to make sure I’m there for that and spreading the love everywhere.”
Originally taken with the 13th overall selection of the 2010 NFL Draft out of Michigan, Graham appeared in 215 games over the course of his career. He recorded 495 tackles, 23 forced fumbles and 79.5 sacks. He was named to the Pro Bowl in 2020 and was a second-team All-Pro in 2016.
Graham was a member of the Eagles’ Super Bowl-winning teams in 2018 and 2025.
