The Hamilton Hammers signed veteran forward Robby Fabbri to professional tryout contract on Friday.
Fabbri has been without a contract since becoming an unrestricted free agent in July. He spent last season with the St. Louis Blues and Minnesota Wild, who claimed him off waivers in March.
The 30-year-old centre had one goal and three assists in 15 games with the Blues and one goal in six games with the Wild after being claimed.
Fabbri has 108 goals and 113 assists over 463 career games with the Blues, Detroit Red Wings, Anaheim Ducks and Wild.
He was selected 14th overall in the 2014 draft by the Blues but has seen his career derailed by multiple knee injuries, including three ACL tears.
The Hammers are the AHL affiliate of the New York Islanders.
