The Colorado Avalanche have signed unrestricted free agent forward Jaden Schwartz to a three-year, $9.75 million contract that carries a cap hit of $3.25 million, according to TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger.
The Avalanche also added to their blueline on Wednesday, signing Noah Juulsen to a two-year contract. The 29-year-old posted one goal and 10 points in 52 games with the Philadelphia Flyers last season, adding two assists in five playoff games.
Schwartz, 34, had 11 goals and 26 points in 50 games last season with the Seattle Kraken.
The 5-foot-10 winger is coming off a five-year, $27.5 million contract that carried a cap hit of $5.5 million.
Drafted 14th overall by the St. Louis Blues in 2010, Schwartz has 233 goals and 553 points in 861 career games split between the Blues and Kraken.
Schwartz helped the Blues win their first Stanley Cup in franchise history in 2019, recording 12 goals and 20 points in 26 playoff games.
The Wilcox, Sask., native represented Canada at the 2018 World Hockey Championship in a fourth-place finish.
