Avs’ Kiviranta out indefinitely with lower-body injury

Published:

Colorado Avalanche winger Joel Kiviranta will be sidelined indefinitely with a lower-body injury, the team announced on Saturday.

The 29-year-old from Finland has yet to tally a point over the first five games this season with the Avs, his third with the franchise.

Kiviranta had a career season in 2024-25 with Colorado, scoring 16 goals and seven assists over 79 games.

Colorado re-signed Kiviranta to a one-year, $1.25 million contract this summer.

Kiviranta has 35 goals and 25 assists over 303 games with the Dallas Stars and Avalanche in his career.
