The Colorado Avalanche have signed forward Gavin Brindley to a two-year contract extension on Tuesday.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Brindley, 21, has three goals and two assists in 14 games with Colorado this season, his first with the team.

A second-round pick (34th overall) by Columbus in 2023, Brindley was dealt to the Avalanche on June 27, along with draft picks, in exchange for forwards Charlie Coyle and Miles Wood.

In his first professional season with the AHL’s Cleveland Monsters last year, he had six goals and 17 points in 52 games.

Internationally, he helped the United States win gold at the 2024 World Juniors.
