The Montreal Canadiens have drafted forward Gleb Pugachyov with the No. 26 pick in the 2026 NHL Draft.
The Canadiens came into Friday with the No. 28 selection before trading up to No. 26 in a swap with the Vegas Golden Knights. Vegas moved down to No. 28 and picked up a 2027 third-round pick from Montreal.
Pugachyov, 18, spent the 2025-26 in the MHL with Chaika Nizhny Novgorod, where he scored 10 goals with 24 points in 33 regular-season games. He added three goals and nine points in 16 games in the playoffs.
