Celebrini, who was selected by the Sharks first overall in 2024, netted 25 goals and 38 assists over 70 games during his rookie campaign of 2024-25.

Celebrini’s point production wasn’t limited to solely NHL hockey this season either. The North Vancouver, B.C., native produced five goals and five assists over six games at the Winter Olympics in Italy, finishing second in the tournament behind Canadian teammate Connor McDavid, who tallied 13 points.

After finishing in last place with just 20 wins last season, Celebrini led the Sharks to a vast improvement in 2025-26, earning 39 wins after hammering the Jets, 6-1, in Winnipeg to close the season on Thursday.

San Jose finished four points behind the Los Angeles Kings for the second Wild Card spot in the Western Conference.
