The Anaheim Ducks have acquired forward Cruz Lucius from the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for future considerations, it was announced Wednesday afternoon.
The 22-year-old is the brother of former Winnipeg Jets first-rounder Chaz Lucius.
Cruz Lucius played last season at Arizona State University in the NCAA, tallying 15 goals and 31 assists for 46 points in 36 games. It was the second-highest season point total in program history. He had 10 points in 19 games the year before.
Lucius played two seasons with the Sun Devils after playing two prior years with the Wisconsin Badgers, where he began his collegiate career.
He was drafted in the fourth round (No. 124 overall) by the Carolina Hurricanes in 2022 and was one of many players traded to Pittsburgh in a deal involving Jake Guentzel.
