Former Vancouver Canucks general manager Patrik Allvin is leaving the organization, TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger reported on Wednesday.
The Canucks parted ways with Allvin on April 17 after missing the playoffs for a third time in four seasons with him in the position.
Then-Canucks president of hockey operations Jim Rutherford offered Allvin a chance to keep working with the team.
Patrik Allvin is officially leaving the Vancouver Canucks. There was a lingering sense he might consider another role within the organization. Allvin is well respected throughout the hockey community and will have opportunities.

Last week, the team promoted Ryan Johnson to general manager and announced Daniel and Henrik Sedin would share the role of president of hockey operations.
The Canucks finished last overall with a 25-49-8 record.
Allvin helped orchestrate an era that saw the Canucks go from playoff outsiders to Pacific Division winners and back again.
Hired in January 2022, he replaced Jim Benning and became the first Swedish GM in the NHL.
He was named a finalist for the 2024 Jim Gregory Award, given annually to the league’s top GM.
