Veteran goaltender Michael Hutchinson announced his retirement on Monday after 11 seasons in the NHL.
Hutchinson, 36, last appeared on the ice for Saipa of Liiga in Finland during the 2024-25 campaign, going 7-9-6 with a 3.02 goals-against average and an .886 save percentage.
He last appeared in the NHL with the Detroit Red Wings during the 2023-24 season, only appearing in one game.
Drafted 77th overall by the Boston Bruins in 2008, Hutchinson has a career 57-62-18 record split between the Winnipeg Jets, Florida Panthers, Toronto Maple Leafs, Colorado Avalanche, Columbus Blue Jackets, and Red Wings.
The 6-foot-3 netminder began his career with the Jets, playing five seasons in the organization going 43-39-11 with a .910 save percentage and 2.65 GAA.
His best season came during his second season in Winnipeg during the 2014-15 campaign where he registered a 21-10-5 record with a .914 save percentage and 2.38 GAA.
Hutchinson also played four seasons in Toronto, registering a 25-10-15 record with an .898 save percentage and 3.18 GAA.
